Feed restriction of broiler chicks is one of many strategies used to reduce the metabolic problems associated with the accelerated rapid growth rate of broiler chicks. There are several methods of feed restriction but some of them are inconsistent with broilers welfare terms, and some other methods are inapplicable in the production field. Also, duration of feed restriction is one of several factors which affected on the response of broilers. This study aimed to evaluate different feed restriction methods(low protein diet, maintenance diet or low sodium diet). Duration of feed restriction (3, 6 or 9 d.) and sex of birds were also studied. The results showed that applying feed restriction using LPD for 3 days improved the overall performance of males. While using MD or applying feed restriction for 6 days was more severe. Using low sodium diet for 3 days improved performance of males while increasing the period of restriction to 6 or 9 days reduced the final body weight. The females fed low sodium diet did not compensate their body weight as the control. Applying feed restriction for 6 or 9 days improved the overall feed conversion ratio of female chicks.
A DC motor is widely used in various electrical appliances and it produces vibrations during its run. Any fault in the motor or the fault in the system on which motor is mounted will result in the failure of the system. So in order to protect the system, there is a need to develop a fault detection system for dc motor working in micro-manufacturing applications. Fast Fourier Transform has been used to examine the presence of faults in the system. Further, speed and acceleration measurements of dc motor are useful for its characterization and control. Also, for this there is a need to develop an embedded system for dc motor speed characterization. The systems has been programmed on ARM Micro-controller.In this research work, the vibration based embedded systems for fault detection and speed characterization of dc motor are presented.

The speed of dc motor is linearly increasing speed and most popular. The dynamic response of dc drive is better than other drives, it has only varying the armature voltage of the motor and there is no harmonics and frequency loss. The speed and current feed-back paths are available from digital signal and analog signal respectively. The proportional integral controller logic is used to calculate the error signal and generate the control signal.The combination of proportional integral controller is used for dynamic response of the closed-loop control system. The AT89S52 microcontroller is used to implementation of proportional integral logic in the C language of KEIL IDE complier. In-System Programmer is used for loading the program from personal system to 89S52 microcontroller.

Varoius bioremediation apprpaches were investigated in the fixed bed bioreactor and a treatment technology for soil contaminated with used motor oil was establised.In addition, it contains the kinetic study, mathematical modeling and costing of the bioremediation system.
